Case file 01: One district, two hosts

The post

@Bureau St. James · Case file 01: One district, two hosts.

Bureau St. James · Store concepts and rollout

The question: what should shopping be when the shop goes wherever the customer goes?

Most retail plans assume the customer comes to the store. This question starts from the other end: the customer is moving, so the shop has to move with them.

The shape of the answer: a district plan, two scenarios and a phased roadmap.

The drawing shows one district plan, drawn once and ringed in red, landing in two places: on the deck of a ship at sea and in a square ashore.

It is the rollout question at its plainest. What has to stay the same, so people know where they are? And what has to change, because the place is different?
